starman It's not more grenades, it's different grenades. I actually have a topic about a future military grenade.

    • The American 180

In PF .22 LR rounds are kind of a joke. They do very little damage, and, in my experience, exist purely to brag and for challenges. They don't really serve any practical role in PF, but I feel like this should be changed, hence this gun suggestion.

The American 180 is an amazing submachine gun. It has an incredibly quick fire rate (1200, with a 1500 fire rate with a conversion) and virtually no recoil, because of it's ammo. It fires .22 LR, with it being able to shoot .22 Short Magnum, which gives it the 1500 rpm.

Now, all other guns that currently use .22 LR are incredibly weak and need good players to be even used, so why would this one be at all practical in PF? Well, that's simple. It was the fire rate of the M231, with practically no recoil, meaning you can actually land shots. And what am I missing... oh right, all it's mags are over 150 rounds (165, 177, 220, & 275 rd drum mags).

EDIT: I forgot to add the Forgotten Weapons video, which everyone needs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J50N5lQoAFw

    • RE: Please let players choose whether to install front triangular sight at M16/M4

KillGod666 Listen. I love the idea of more options, and being given more choices. That being said, I completely agree with Mar. NOBODY wanted the front sight not too long ago. Mar gave the people what they wanted, and boom, others hate him for it, or at least hate the change. I say this because I believe what he did was completely justified and reasonable. Now, there has been a new option called "Sight Settings" which would be perfect for this. On the M16A3, you could equip a sight and there could be an option "Front Post."

I also just want to say that since we can change sight settings with colors, we should be able to have a "Glow" option that can both change the brightness of sights that are able to be changed, if they are equipped, but also allows you to choose if an iron sight has glow or not.

I can't believe the amount of KSG complaints in this thread so far. After using all of the shotguns, although good, it is nowhere near as powerful or useful as even half the other shotguns, even at close range. I kinda like the idea of the extended mag and barrel combo, and I think most of this complaints are just irrational.

DerpCube I won't deny there are guns that aren't often used (I'm looking at you, A2) but you kind of picked two popular guns to insult.

I really like the premium idea. It seems like a great way to support the studio, but you don't just win a game-breaking advantage. I like how there could be a premium crate and key, but that you can't sell those skins.

I like how many people agree that the AA-12 has terrible range, but others still argue that it is too overpowered... because it works as designed.

    • RE: Nerf the BFG 50

I do not think the BFG should be nerfed at all. The only nerf I could agree with would probably be an increase in rank to unlock it. That being said, you talk about realism, and I feel like I need to comment on it.

First, you talk about adding more recoil. I won't say it is or is not realistic, but at the end of the day, the BFG is a single shot. By the time you load another round, you won't have to worry about the recoil anymore anyway, so I don't think it is an effective nerf, if you're truly trying to nerf the BFG.

Second, you talk about decreasing the walking speed. This, I feel, is probably acceptable. There are a lot of heavy guns in PF that I doubt anyone could run as fast as they can in PF. That being said, if you decrease the walking speed of the BFG, I feel it is only fair to decrease the walking speed of the Hecate II and the M107, as they are more-or-less kin of the same family and should be treated as such, but they have more ammo too, so there could also be an argument to make them even slightly slower.

Third, you talk about increasing the bullet drop, specifically because of comparing it to the Hecate. Now, there are a few problems with that. Primarily, if you're talking about realism at all, I feel like you need to acknowledge that in real life, in most places that can be compared to PF maps, you really wouldn't see much of any drop in the first place. Mirage is a probable exception. Now, when you compare the BFG to the Hecate, you also have to look into the fact that they do not use the same ammo. As far as I am aware, the BFG just uses normal .50 cal ammo, while the Hecate uses precision .50 cal ammo. The difference? Normal .50 ammo is meant for .50 machine guns, not to be precise and accurate. The Hecate, on the other hand, uses ammo that was created with long-range precision in mind. This is shown when you say that the Hecate has a three times larger estimated effective range. Effective range does not relate to the bullet drop of a round or gun, rather, it relates to how accurate it is at that range. At a far range, outside the BFG's estimated effective range, a BFG and a Hecate can hit the same target, but while the Hecate might be in a 5in diameter circle, the BFG might be in a 20+in diameter circle (don't quote those numbers, they're just there to prove a point).

What I'm trying to say is that the BFG really shouldn't really have more bullet drop than the M107 or the Hecate, especially any that can be seen on most PF maps. That being said, if you were to say to make the BFG less accurate than the others, I would be more likely to agree with you, but I still feel like the differences should be unnoticeable on most PF maps.

    • New melee system

Basically, I don't like how if you're holding your secondary or primary weapon and press "f" you can quickly use your melee. In my experience, it is actually quicker than it would be if you are just holding the knife. This irritates me because you have to both put down/away the gun and use the melee weapon. I have three suggestions to acknowledge this:

A: When you press "3" to pull out the melee, it would do the whole "f" thing, but leaves you holding it.

B: Pressing "f" does the same thing as "3" + LMB. This also includes the speed or the attack as it would be as if you were holding it before.

C: New melee system A. To use two-handed melees, you have to press "3" and hold the melee to use it. If you have a single-handed melee, you can press "f" to quickly pull it out, but you don't fully put away the gun you were holding, and you only have a slightly shorter attack before you put it away. The speed you pull a weapon out could also depend on the weapon, such as if you have a pistol, it would be quicker than if you were holding a M60.

D: New Melee system B. This is the idea that inspired me to make this topic in the first place. Basically, if would be like CoD, where you use the weapon you're holding to melee attack. If you were holding a Mosin, you could swing and hit someone with the butt of it, or maybe just bump them with it. If you're holding a pistol, you grab the barrel and pistol whip them. Damage wise, it could be a 3-4 sk to torso/limb while headshots could be 2 sk? There could also be a suppression effect, where when you hit them, it throws off their aim. This could also allow for special attachments, such as a bayonet on the Mosin. These attacks would take the place of "f." Perhaps there could also be an option where if you have a small arm, like a pistol, you could melee with a single-handed melee.

@ILost3Accounts I have never actually seen a game where suppressed guns sound like actual suppressed guns. Most just do the shitty thing Hollywood does, where it's like the sound is just fucking gone.

ngl, I always sucked with the AUG A1. I never could get any good with it, and the A2 hasn't been much better. That being said, I've done wonders with the A3 when I unlocked, I got into the A3 Para a few months ago, and recently/occasionally returned to the A3.

    • RE: Bullet velocity

I don't like this. It feels like it is leaving out a lot of info that is important. For instance, impact would definitely be a result of speed (bullet velocity) but also, the size of the bullet also has a large part of it (size, density, mass, etc.). Furthermore, if shot with a 5.56 versus a 7.62, and if they hypothetically went the same speed, the 7.62 would probably do more damage, as it's a bigger bullet. You also have to accept the fact that we use .22 LR in the Zip 22, and it is able to do damage to the body, so we aren't wearing body armor, but you can also take a shot to the heart and not die, so I doubt reality is an option when dealing with damage.
