Hello, this is M200 and this is the first of my Sniper Rifle guide.
This time, we will be covering the Intervention.
The first sniper rifle unlocked, this heavy sniper rifle is unlocked by default and is currently the only primary that spews .408 Cheytac downrange.

The Intervention, or M200, is an American weapon, manufactured by Cheytac LLC. It is chambered for the exclusive .408 Cheytac ammo ingame. It also has the option for .375 Cheytac, which reduces damage in favour of extra muzzle velocity.
Ingame, damage is high: The Intervention will kill with one shot to the torso at a close range. The damage starts its drop off at 150 studs, however, as it will kill with 2 shots anywhere besides the head beyond the said distance. As with all the sniper rifles (sans Dragunov SVU), it will one-shot kill to the head at all ranges.
Range is high, with the damage starting to drop off at 150 studs and the end of the drop off at 250 studs.
Penetration is also high, at 4 studs, but with the sniper rifle's low rate of fire, you will fare better when your target is directly in your sightline.
Rate of Fire is slow, at 50 rounds per minute. As with all the other snipers, you should leave hip firing to emergencies, and by then a good secondary will fare even better.
Handling is pretty slow, as the walking speed when equipped is 12 studs per second. While aiming, it drops to an even lower 6 studs per second. Aim speed is also sluggish at 10.
Magazine capacity is low, at 7+1 rounds: Tactical reload speed is 3.1 seconds, which is already slow; but it will be nothing compared to the 5.9 seconds empty reload time. Your starting supply is at 6 magazines or 42 bullets in reserve.
The Intervention is built as a support role; it is slow and steady with both LRC potential and deadly one-shot kills at a closer range.

Slow and Steady
the Intervention is a very well-rounded sniper rifle and great for newcomers to get used to sniping. Furthermore, it has great potential, working suitably for experienced snipers and is arguably the best general-purpose sniper rifle. Its high damage and muzzle velocity put a focus on long-range combat while the 1SK to the torso to around 150 studs allows the user to perform close-range combat with limited ease.
This rifle might be unlocked at rank zero...
But it might be your hero.
Join me next time when I will be covering the second sniper rifle on offer: The Remington 700.
