My personal favorite gun in this game is the Henry .45-70; partly due to it's amazing performance, but mostly due to how awesome this gun looks and feels. However, this gun seems like it could be made a lot better and should be seeing some more attention in this next update, particularly in the available attachments.
Firstly this gun can get a few new barrel options, both a long and a short option; but because of the tube magazine these would have unique buffs and nerfs - the long barrel increases the magazine by two rounds but would have twice the weight nerf as usual, while the short barrel has the exact opposite effect
Next it can receive a feature similar to the "high noon" mode on the new army revolver. If you push "T" the gun would have an RPM of ~300 instead of ~100 and could possibly even count as full auto instead of semi auto; however, it would only be usable in the same alternate aim mode as the FALs and such. The recoil would be crazy, lol
Lastly it can have two or three new caliber options: I am thinking .410, .30-30, and .45 Colt.
- The .410 performs exactly like it does on the Jury, but could possibly have tighter spread and less per-pellet damage.
- The .30-30 is an intermediate option between the .45-70 and the .45 Colt, it is not capable of a one-shot to the torso at any range, but has less drop and one more round capacity (stacks with the long
and short barrels). This is very similar to the performance from the +P ammo, but I personally think that this would be better and more unique. Would rename the gun to Henry .30-30.
- The .45 Colt makes the gun more CQB oriented, it is only able to one-shot headshot until ~50 studs, but it has much lower recoil and doubles capacity (both with the normal setup and alternate barrels).
