    Overview

    The KSG 12 is an American bullpup shotgun with 2 tubes that can contain ammo!
    It is unlocked at Rank 1!

    This is the first shotgun you will unlock and is the first gun overall that you will unlock via rank!

    It fires the average 8 pellets per shot, each pellet deals 32 damage up until 50 studs where it drops to 17 damage per pellet, you are required to hit atleast 4 pellets on your target up close to one shot them or 6 pellets if further than 50 studs!
    Unlike most other shotguns, it has a slightly lower headshot multiplier of x1.1, most other shotguns have a x1.14 headshot multiplier!

    It is a pump action shotgun meaning that you will have to rechamber a new shell after every shot which limits your rate of fire, you can fire the KSG 12 at 130 RPM, the fastest pump action shotgun RPM in the game!
    However it has the highest pellet spread of all the pump action shotguns in the game, a 2.7 degrees spread radius!
    The pellets travel at a speed of 1500 studs/s in muzzle velocity, can penetrate up to 0.5 studs of walls and is in the middle ground of suppression of all the shotguns!

    Thanks to the double tube mechanism of this weapon, it can carry a very high amount of ammo of 14 shells, it can also hold a shell in the chamber making it a total of 15 shells ammo capacity!
    It has a shell per shell reload system, it takes a short 1.4 seconds to reload a shell into the gun, when you need to reload a few shells, this is where you have the advantage over magazine fed shotguns, but if you need to reload alot of shells, magazine fed shotguns are faster.
    If you need to reload all 14 shells because you ran out of ammo, it will take 19.6 seconds to reload excluding the additional pump rechamber after the reload is done.
    You have 50 shells ammo reserve with this gun.

    Recoil wise, it does have quite a kick but it does not matter as it centers nicely before you can shoot again, so it is not needed to improve the recoil with attachments.

    The iron sights are relatively open, but not the best either.
    Alternatively, you can alt aim with this weapon using T just like every other shotgun!


    Shotgun ammo analysis

    Flechette:

    Increases penetration and maximum range for less ammo reserve and max damage!

    • Damage: 25.6 -> 17
    • Max range: 60
    • Penetration: 1.5
    • Ammo reserve: 40

    Flechette on this gun will not hinder your gun's power in any way making it a great choice for this gun, along with the high magazine capacity and fast rate of fire, no enemies will be save from hiding.

    Birdshot:

    Increases pellets fired per shot and max range for less muzzle velocity, penetration, damage and ammo reserve!

    • Damage: 30.4 -> 15.3
    • Pellets fired: 16
    • Max range: 60
    • Penetration: 0.1
    • Muzzle velocity: 900
    • Ammo reserve: 40

    The only damage it will impact is the long range damage past 60 studs, where it will drop to 7 hits required to kill your enemy, as you know a lower muzzle velocity means a higher pellet spread!
    But this is still a viable choice for this shotgun!

    Rubber Pellets:

    Increases max damage and suppression for less pellets, less minimum damage, less penetration and various other stats.

    • Damage: 41.6 -> 15.3
    • Range: 45 -> 62.99
    • Pellets fired: 6
    • Torso multiplier: x0.9
    • Penetration: 0.1
    • Suppression: 5.0
    • Ammo reserve: 40
    • Recoil: Overall decreased!

    Makes your shotgun be able to 3 hit enemies up close and cause extreme suppression however it limits the pellets fired to 6 per shot, decreasing the amount of hits you can give an enemy and becomes absolutely horrible to use at long range.
    The x0.9 torso multiplier drops the damage to 37.44 -> 13.77 so try to hit the limbs or the head!

    Slugs:

    Massive increase in damage while only firing 1 big and more accurate pellet!

    • Damage: 96 -> 42.5
    • Torso multiplier: x1.2
    • Headshot multiplier: x2.29
    • Pellet spread: 0.405
    • Muzzle velocity: 1800
    • Penetration: 2.0
    • Ammo reserve: 40

    Pretty much turns your shotgun into a sniper, but it is not a 100% accurate sniper since there is still minor spread!
    It can one shot in the torso at close range but the headshot multiplier is not enough to one shot at infinite range, but it can still for quite a range!

    KSG 25 Barrel

    A large barrel that turns your KSG 12 into the KSG 25!

    (+) Increased magazine capacity to 24!
    (+) Increased muzzle velocity to 1575 studs/s!
    (+) Slight increase in min range!
    (-) Slight decrease in max range!
    (-) Decreased ammo reserve to 25!
    (-) Slower recovery speed!
    (-) Decreased aiming and walk speed!

    A long barrel mixed with an extended magazine, very high shotgun capacity and even decreased spread because of the muzzle velocity but less range, less ammo reserve and a heavier weight, it is a really good conversion overall!


    Attachments

    The KSG 12 has barely has any unique attachments, the only ones being the KSG 25 Barrel and Hera CQR Grip!
    Since this gun is a shotgun, it has access to Flechette, Birdshot, Rubber Pellets and Slugs ammo!

    If you want a loadout, I recommend you this:

    • Mini Sight
    • Muzzle Brake
    • Blue Laser
    • Blue Laser
    • Flechette

    Trivia

    • Keep in mind that atleast 1 pellet of your shotgun will always stay 100% accurate in the center of your shot!
    • It used to be one of the only guns to not be able to equip the Ballistics Tracker!

    My opinion on this gun

    A rank 1 shotgun and it is already a strong one.

    It kills fast and is quite accurate, but it is not really fun to fight against when your enemy knows how to use it.
    However, it can become a funny sight when an inexperienced player tries to spam shoot you with it and you keep dodging it.

    I rate this gun a 8.5/10!

  • In real life, one could load a tube with one type of ammo and the other tube with another type to allow flexibility in combat without needing to individually load ammo and in turn waste time that could be used to engage instead.

    IRL, the weapon has a mechanism to enable one to load ammo from one tube or the other, or both. In-game the weapon lacks this function due to balance and game mechanics.
